GLORY BOX
From the album '
Dummy' [5:06]

LYRICS:

I'm so tired, of playing
Playing with this bow and arrow
Gonna give my heart away
Leave it to the other girls to play
For I've been a temptress too long

Just...

Give me a reason to love you
Give me a reason to be ee, a woman
I just wanna be a woman

From this time, unchained
We're all looking at a different picture
Thru this new frame of mind
A thousand flowers could bloom
Move over, and give us some room

So don't you stop, being a man
Just take a little look from our side when you can
Sow a little tenderness
No matter if you cry

Give me a reason to love you
Give me a reason to be ee, a woman
It's all I wanna be is all woman

For this is the beginning of forever and ever

It's time to move over

VIDEO INFORMATION:

Director:
Alexander Hemming

Storyline:
In the video for "Glory Box", a song that always sounded like it was written for a transvestite, Beth dresses up as a man, flirts with other women dressed as men and re-enact scenes from the 50s Dirk Bogarde movie The Verdict, the first film ever made in the UK to openly address the homosexual experience. Beth actually gained a cult lesbian following with this video.

Comments:
I don't know whose idea was it for her to drag up in that video. It's not that I'm not telling you. I just don't know. Geoff
When you see the "Glory Box" video, don't watch it. Chuck it away. Record the music from it and just chuck it away. Hopefully. I want to recut the video before it goes to the States. I'm doing a rock mix, at the moment, for the States. Geoff

Availability:
This video hasn't been commercially released although there is a 1994 TV performance of the song available. It is featured on "Ten Years Later... With Jools Holland", a DVD showcasing the highlights of the long-running BBC show's first ten years.
