'Andy Smith's Northern Soul' (2005)
Mix CD (and unmixed double vinyl) is out now on BGP records.
Andy has for a long time been a keen collector of Northern Soul tracks
whilst on the endless search for great records. As he started amassing
his vast collection, he regularly included Northern Soul tracks in his
normal DJ sets, and has even used 'Can I Get A Witness' by Barbara
Randolph and 'Boogaloo No. 3' by Roy Lee Johnson and The Villagers on
his 2003 'Document 2' mix CD.
So Andy looked through the extensive ACE/BGP catalogue and chose some
of his favourite tracks, took them to the turntables and worked his
magic to come up with 'Andy Smith's Northern Soul'.
Also for anybody else looking for these tracks to play themselves the
album is available on unmixed double vinyl so that you can hear them in
all their glory.
