Beth Gibbons launched her solo
career in the autumn of 2002 with help
from her old friend Paul Webb of Talk
Talk. The debut solo album "Out Of
Season" is tinged with timelessness
and nostalgia. It shows us a very
different side of Beth as a musician:
the famous Portishead beats are
replaced in favour of more acoustic
elements and traditional songwriting.
"Out Of Season" received praising
reviews from the press and was
supported by live shows as well
as the radio and commercial singles
"Mysteries" and "Tom The
Model".
The French reissue of the album
includes three live tracks recorded at
the Olympia in Paris 11.11.2002 and
the U.S. release from 2003 features
the Velvet Underground cover
"Candy
Says" and the video for "Mysteries".
