Annikki - Eldest Daughter

    Annikki is the eldest of Hilja and Matti's 4 daughters. Her grandfather wanted her to have the name "rauha annettu" (peace given) as she was born just when World War II ended. Rauhette was not a registered Finnish name, so Annikki was named as Rauha, meaning just "peace".
    She imbibed her religious values from her father, a devout Adventist who found his faith after his hard and difficult years on the front line in the Wars between 1939 and 1944. Annikki does not know how to tell a lie, not even a white lie when she answers the phone!!
    Annikki now devotedly looks after Hilja who suffers from Alzeihmers and tunnel vision.
