Mini Reunion of 59ers in 2007

On Sunday 16th September 2007, Ashok and Madhu Kapur hosted a Mini Reunion of 59ers to welcome Trevor Newnes who was visiting India. In 2004, when Trevor visited India, he went looking at all the old addresses for his classmates, but he found all the locations void of their inhabitants.
I know how frustrating this is!
When he made plans for his visit to India this time, he was linked up through our 59er Google Group and was able to let everyone know of his visit. Viney was already excited about this when he was visiting me in Oulu and made his return plans to India to be there for Trevor.
Vijay Shivdasani, who is our prime organiser in Mumbai, got cracking and organised the Mini Reunion at the Bombay Gym. However, Ashok and Madhu Kapur graciously stepped in and offered to host the reunion in their beautiful flat on Napean Sea Road.
Many were away - Percy and Frainy Mistri were in the US, Nihal and Shyama Kaviratne were in Munich, Piloo (nŽe Dastur) Tata was out of town (hence Shivi had a problem locating all the local girls from our class), Vinay Dabholkar and his wife, Sulabha, were celebrating Ganesh Chathurthi, and hence unable to attend, Adi and Phiroza Cooper could not make it due to a prior engagement.
Venkat Kurma came in from Pune, Vijay Nayar made it from New Delhi and Viney and Purnima Sethi braved the monsoon seas and came across from Alibaugh to join a happy band of Mumbai 59ers to welcome Trevor. Also present were 56er Vinod Nayar (accompanying his 59er brother Vijay) and 57ers Lata Bakhle (sister of the late 59er Pradeep) and Ratan Batliwala, who was accompanying his 59er wife, Renuka.
