I got my first dog, Jesse, when I was ten years old. He was a mixture of Karelian beardog and Samoyed. Jesse lived until the age of 15.


In 1985 I bought my first retriever, a Golden Retriever, Santtu, with whom I trained obedience. I was qualified as an obedience trainer in 1986.


Since 1987 I have been involved with Curly Coated Retrievers and it still is MY BREED. We also have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Spanish Waterdog.

My husband Olavi takes our dogs hunting and to fieldtrials. I often go to dog shows with our daughter Elena (8 years).

I hope that Elena´s interest in dogs continues.
