Hello Irmeli + friends and the men of the village (especially the good-looking ones)!
We decided to make an exception. Instead of tradional hike on the forest,
we went to Yours and ours hometown as tourists.
Here are few "summercards" from the journey…

Aada: -Ookko nää Oulusta ja pelekääkkö nää polliisia?
-Are you from Oulu and are you afraid of the police? (old local saying)

Tellu: -Kyllä, kaikki me pelkäämme…
-Yes, we all are afraid…

 -KAUPUNGINTALO –CITYHALL

 

A&T: -Me ollaan täällä oven takana menossa nyt onnittelemaan 400-vuotiasta Oulua
 -We are here behind the door on the way to congratulate 400 year old Oulu.

 

T&A: -Ei siellä oltu kotona, me hengaillaan tässä hetki.
 -There was no-one home, we are around here for a little while. 

-KAUPUNGINTALON PIHALLA –IN THE YARD OF CITYHALL

Tellu: -Mitä tykkät, jos tekisivät tähän meistä patsaat?
-What would you like, if they make statues of us in here?

Aada: -Sopii, mutta mä haluan, että mulla on siinä pallo suussa!
-Okay, but I would like to have a ball in my mouth, in it!

Tellu: -Hei sinä siellä! Ota kuva, että osaavat tehdä ne patsaat.
-Hey you there! Take a picture so that they can make  those  statues of us

Aada: -Saanko mennä uimaan, pliis!
 -Can I go swimming, please!

Tellu: -Onko tukka hyvin, näkyykö huivi!
-Is me hair ok and can you see my scarf!

Aada:  -Voisko joku jo heittää mulle pallon?
 -Could somebody even throw a ball for me?

Tellu: -Ja mulle kepin!
 -And a stick for me!

-NALLIKARI, uimaranta, leirintäalue ja kylpylä  
-NALLKARI, beach, camping-area and spa

Aada: -Pistettiin bikinit päälle ja tultiin tiirailee rantaleijonia. 

Onkohan ne tuolla takana olevassa kylpylässä, kun ei niitä täällä näy.

-We wear the bikinis and came to look at the beachlions. 

We wonder if t they all are in the spa which is seen behind of us, because they are not seen here.

Tellu:  -Miksi  Aada on nuin tasaisen värinen ja mä oon kuin kalkkilaivan    kapteeni…
- Why Aada is so one couloured and I am like the captain of  a chalck- ship.

-ROTUAARIN (kävelykadun) VESIPALLO  -ROTUAARI’S (the walking street) WATERBALL 

Aada: -Lähetäänkö patiolle, vai pysytäänkö tällä vesilinjalla…
-Shall we go to the patio or do we stand on this waterline…

Tellu: -Jäätiin tähän poseeraan, niin nuo kukatkin näyttää hyvältä. 
  –We stay here to pose, yes those flowers looks good.

-OULUN TUOMIOKIRKKO  -CATHEDRAL OF OULU

Aada: -Tiesitkö muuten, että Irmelin ja Jarin poika Aki laulaa täällä monesti NMKY:n kuoron kanssa? 
 –Did you know that Irmeli’s and Jari´s son sings here with the YMCA chorus.

Tellu – Jep ja joulun aikaan Aki esiintyy Tiernapojissa, mitkä on tosi vanha oululainen perinnenäytelmä.
 - Yeah and in the Christmas time Aki performs in Starboys, which is very old traditional play of Oulu.

  -Ilta tuli ja veneemme saapui kotisatamaan odottamaan uusia seikkailuja… 
 -Evening came and our boat came to the homeport to wait for the new adventures…
