5th Dawn
Oheisessa artikkelissa perinteiseen tapaan kirjoittelen mukavia ja epämukavia
uusimasta MTG-setistä. Tämä tulee tavallista myöhempään kuin muiden settien
kohdalla, mutta halusin odottaa mitä kesäkuun ensimmäisen päivän bannaykset
sanoivat. No nehän sanoi että Skullclamp clamps away. Standardi hidastui varmaan
nyt sen puoli-yhden kierrosta ja monia uusia dekkityyppejä varmaan tulee. Mutta
niistä ja kaikesta muusta tämän artikkelin lopussa jossa top10 lista ja sleeperit
sekä lyhyt yleisarvio setistä. Mutta nyt itse kortteihin! Jutustelen niistä kaikista
kiinnostavimmista...(ja annan pisteitä/tähtiä yhdestä viiteen...

Muuta:
Scry on hyvä ominaisuus. Harmi vain että sille kävi kuin ekaversiolle cyclingistä.
Miksi kaikki ovat Scry 2. Miksei muuta numeroa? Tyhmää.
Bringerit: Musta, Valkea ja Sininen ovat hyviä ja niitä tullaan näkemään jopa
hieman constuctedissa (riippuen kuinka 5väridekit pärjäävät). Punainen on so-so ja
vihreä harvinaisen pateettinen.
Sininen, Musta ja Punainen saivat maukkaimmat kortit. Vihreän raret ei oikein
jaksaneet ja valkean kortteja vaivasi combat/equipment-painoitteisuus...
Artifactit olivat järjestään vähintään mielenkiintoisia ja sunbursti rokkaa
parhammillaan ihan kympillä...

Summary:
Uusia ideoita ainakin tuetaan. Skullclampin bannays todennäköisesti auttaa
tätä settiä (ja varsinkin Sunburst-kikkailua) kovinkin. Kokonaisuutena
hitusen Darksteelia parempi (joka oli hyvä) mutta piirun verran jäädään
Mirrodinista. Tässä on periaattessa kompaktimpi kokonaisuus ja jos ihan
suurennuslasilla katsotaan niin tasaisempi korttitasapaino. Mirrodinin huiput
tosin ovat puoli pykälää parempia kuin tässä mutta tässä ehkä on suhteessa enemmän
sellaisia "perushyviä kortteja". Oikein hyvä!
